The Sissala East Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Adamu Yakubu, has applauded the organisers of the inaugural Betway Tumu Cup, describing the coordination and execution of the tournament as “superb.”
The one-day event concluded successfully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Tumu Sports Stadium AstroTurf, where Real 24 Hours clinched the title after an impressive run through the final stages.
Hon. Yakubu, who attended the tournament with Sissala East MP Mohammed Issah Bataglia, expressed satisfaction with the entire setup and praised the high level of planning and professionalism demonstrated throughout the event.
“In fact, this is superb. If you look at the organisation—if you look at the way the whole program was organised—I think we have to commend the organisers for doing a wonderful job,” said Hon. Yakubu.
“It is clear that everything was planned: the arrangement, the way the teams arrived, their dressing, and the skillful play all indicate that the tournament or the program was well planned before its execution.”

Real 24 Hours, well-known for their past encounter with Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup, not only secured the trophy but also received GHS5,000 and medals for their efforts.
Bujan Crocodiles finished second and were awarded GHS3,000, while third-placed Soccer Babies earned GHS2,000.
The competition, which followed six qualifying rounds, was spearheaded by Joy Sports editor Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo, in partnership with top betting firm Betway, and supported by Peeva Beverages.
The tournament brought renewed energy to football in the region, celebrating local talent and reinforcing the importance of grassroots sports development.
