Rev John Ntim Fordjour, Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, has called on Ghanaians to unite in the spirit of patriotism and work together towards building a prosperous and peaceful nation.
In a message shared on social media following Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebrations on Friday, March 6, the Assin South Member of Parliament urged citizens to put past differences aside and focus on the country’s future.
“Let’s unite around patriotic pursuit of a prosperous and peaceful Ghana; putting the past behind, and looking ahead up to the brighter days of our beloved country,” he stated.

According to Rev Ntim Fordjour, national progress requires collective effort and a shared commitment from citizens across political, social and economic divides.
He emphasised that the Independence anniversary should serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the country’s forebears and the responsibility of the present generation to safeguard Ghana’s peace and development.
