The Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) paid a courtesy visit to the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharabutu, at his residence in Fadama, Accra, on Thursday, 19th March.
The visit, led by the bank’s management, forms part of CBG’s ongoing commitment to fostering strong relationships with key national stakeholders, supporting faith-based institutions, and engaging with communities during the holy month of fasting.

In addition, the delegation sought to support this year’s Eid al-Fitr celebrations. They presented the National Chief Imam with a donation of essential items, including bags of rice, cooking oil, beverages, and other provisions.

Speaking at the brief donation ceremony, the bank’s Executive Director, Dr Naomi Wolali Kwetey, said, “Our visit today is a gesture of solidarity and respect, reinforcing CBG’s commitment to harmony among all faiths. We also wished to officially introduce ourselves to the Chief Imam, as we have not had the opportunity to do so since assuming office.”

Dr Kwetey added, “We do not come empty-handed but have brought a token of cash and food items to support the Eid celebration.”

The National Chief Imam received the items warmly and offered blessings to the bank’s team. He assured that the donations would be distributed among the Muslim community, as is the tradition during the annual Eid celebrations.
